Due to the frequent sewage backups the lower units have been experiencing recently, we are sending this notice as a reminder to our residents that certain items cannot be flushed down the toilets, or placed down the garbage disposal as they can bind together or expand in the drain lines and cause damage and sewage backups:

- Egg shells
- Pasta
- Rice
- Diapers
- Dental floss
- Paper Towels
- Personal hygiene items (tampons, condoms, feminine, napkins, and bandages)
- Rags
Also, it is recommended that your run water down the kitchen drain line for about one minute after placing food through the disposal. This will help keep the line clear.
Please note that building found to frequently have backups may have all owners billed for the additional cost incurred by the association, so please do your part to comply.
